General Training Information

​PRE-REGISTRATION

In order to guarantee your seat, you must pre-register with

payment for your selected course. Walk-ins are not guaranteed a seat. 



​PRE-QUALIFICATION

Refresher courses require pre-qualification and attendees must provide a current training certificate (or within 1 year expired) to take a refresher course.

 

ARRIVAL

Please be sure to arrive prior to the schedule course time and plan for traffic delays, weather, etc.  Arrivals over 15 minutes past the start of class will be forced to reschedule due to regulatory requirements. Proper identification and photo may be required.

 

PARKING AT OTS

Parking is available along the side of our building in front of windows or in the back of the building. Street parking is also available on Adams Street (unless more than 1" snow). Please do not park in any neighboring business lots.

 

PAYMENT

Payment is due upon registration of course.

OPEN ENROLLMENT COURSES

​Open enrollment courses will be held at our main facility in Willowbrook, IL (see map), unless otherwise notified. All classes will begin promptly at 8:00 A.M., and it is recommended to arrive by 7:45 A.M. on the first day to complete the registration process.

CANCELLATION / CHANGES

Cancellations or transfers may be made up to 24 hours in advance. Refunds or transfers will not be provided to cancellations within 24 hours of course start date or no shows. If a course is canceled due to low enrollment, a full refund will be made.



ATTENDANCE

Every student must be present for the entire length of the class, without exceptions. If any time is missed, your completion certificate could be forfeited.



CLASS MATERIALS

All necessary class materials will be provided to every student including books, handouts, and a writing utensil.​


BREAKS

Coffee will be available to students, and a lunch break will be provided for attendees to leave the facility or use the break room. Lunch will not be provided. Break room has a refrigerator, microwave and vending machine with snacks and drinks available. Internet access and WiFi is available upon request.​

FINAL EXAM

All students must be able to take a final exam in English unless the course is specifically set up in advance in another language.  Participants must pass with a score of at least 70%.  Arrangements to read the test aloud in English may be accommodated, please be sure to request prior to course start date.​ 



CERTIFICATES

Upon successful completion of the training course, passing of the course exam, and complete payment, participants will receive an original training certificate to document the completion of their course. If classes are held off-site or on Saturdays, the certificates will be mailed within 2 business days.
Alternatively, scanned copies of the original certificates will be available upon request. Participants can contact us to request a scanned copy, and it will be provided within 1 business day.

DUPLICATE CERTIFICATE REQUEST

Certificate copies will be made available for a $25.00 fee per certificate request. Requests must be from the training calendar.  Please allow up to 2 business days to receive duplicate certificate.
