This five-day asbestos training course is designed for contractors and supervisors who will be responsible for onsite supervision of workers on asbestos class I & II projects that involve the removal, encapsulation or enclosure of friable or non-friable asbestos-containing materials (ACM). This course follows EPA's Model Curriculum for asbestos supervisor training.
Topics covered: Asbestos Identification, Health Effects, Personal Protective Equipment, Work Practices, Control Methods, Removal Techniques, Health and Safety Issues, State and Federal Regulations, Legal Considerations, Air Sampling and Monitoring, Respiratory Programs, Recordkeeping, and Supervisor Techniques and Duties
This course includes extensive hands-on exercises. Respirator fit testing is available for an additional charge.
Training certificate valid for licensing in: IL, IN. Also reciprocal in various states
