Asbestos ABATEMENT WORKER Training

INITIAL TRAINING

This four-day asbestos training course provides a general overview of asbestos abatement procedures and worker protection for individuals working on asbestos class I & II projects. This course follows EPA's Model Curriculum for asbestos worker training.

Topics include: Asbestos Identification, Health Effects, Personal Protective Equipment including Respiratory Protection and Fit Test Procedures, Control Methods, Removal Techniques and Work Practices, Decontamination and Disposal, Health and Safety Issues, and State and Federal Regulations.

This course includes extensive hands-on exercises. Respirator fit testing is available for an additional charge.

Who Should Attend:

Workers who perform activities related to asbestos abatement activities and intentional contact with asbestos containing materials (ACM). ​

REGULATORY:

This course is accredited for licensing in Illinois & Indiana. This course may also be reciprocal in various states.
